چکیده

The interaction between the voltage source converter (VSC) and weak grid causes a negatively damped or diverging oscillation (DVO). generally evolves into sustained (STO) when governed by nonlinearities in VSC's control system, such as saturation of pulse width modulation (PWM). conventional small-signal impedance/admittance modelling (SSIM/SSAM) stability analysis methods are not suitable for characteristic STO. This paper presents large-signal model (LSIM/LSAM)-based quantitative method to better understand mechanism, characteristics, occurrence conditions LSAM extends SSAM incorporating nonlinearity PWM using describing function method. First, unique time-varying associated with is investigated. Then, two LSIM/LSAM-based criteria STO established based on an equivalent RLC circuit system. Three critical pieces information, including condition, frequency, magnitude, revealed criteria. Finally, LSAM-based applied investigate admittance VSC assess magnitude frequency Both results have been verified through time-domain simulations typical grid-connected VSC.

Design and Control of a Novel hybrid Active Power Filter based on Load Harmonic Currents Separation with the aim of DC-link voltage minimization in voltage source converter

This paper proposes a new hybrid active power filter, including voltage source converter (VSC) based active power filter and Thyristor Controllable LC Passive Filter (TCLC-HAPF) for eliminating harmonic load current components and compensating reactive power. This new structure which is based on the separation of high and low-frequency components of load current idea can reduce the drawbacks of...

Voltage-sustained self-oscillation of a nano-mechanical electron shuttle

One core challenge of nanoelectromechanical systems (NEMS) is their efficient actuation. A promising concept superseding resonant driving is self-oscillation. Here, we demonstrate voltage-sustained self-oscillation of a nanomechanical charge shuttle. Stable transport at 4.2 K is observed for billions of shuttling cycles, giving rise to ohmic current-voltage curves with a sharp dissipation thres...

Analysis of New Transformerless dc-dc Converter With High Voltage Gain

In some industries applications such as fuel cells, we must use a high voltage gain dc-dc converters for increasing voltage, but, the conventional converters cannot provide the high voltage gain with increasing duty cycle and the converters efficiency is limited by the equivalent series resistances. For this reason, in this paper, a single switch transformerless high step-up dc-dc converter wit...

Single-Phase Z-source Matrix Converter with High Voltage Gain

Abstract— This paper proposes a new type of converter called Single Phase Z-source Matrix Converter (SPZMC). The SPZMC is an ac-to-ac converter device. Simulated using diode bridge bidirectional switch cell. The simulation is performed in different loads with fixed input and variable output frequency. Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) switching strategy is used to obtain the variable frequency. The ...
